Making coffee in the tin kettle
Every camp needs a kettle that is used for cooking and camp chores such as carrying water, making coffee, cooking stew, &c. Nothing fancy, just a very simple straight sided pot that is light, sturdy, and can withstand the abuse of camp life.
Turkey Foot Trading Company sells an excellent tin kettle that fits this description perfectly.
I would give this product a rating of 5 out of 5.

I would say that the best part of this kettle is the size and weight. It is the perfect size for a mess up to about 3 or 4, but larger than needed for a single person. It is a very well built. Since it is tin it is very light. The price is very reasonable and the proprieters of Turkey Foot are very nice to deal with.
Both Tom Karnuta and myself have this kettle, and we would both recommend it.
Turkey Foot also sells a couple of other size kettles and boilers. I have not personally used them, but they told me that they would nest inside of this stew pot. According to them, the next size down would be the corn boiler, and then the nested cup and boiler.
