Rocky Mountain Outfit — American Mountain Men (AMM) party of Colorado
September 1-3, 2012: Brad did a solo Aux Aliments du Pays in the Troublesome along Corral Creek. To make it more of a challenge it was in an area I had never been to before. This area is covered with beetlekill and it is difficult to find a camp site away from the widow makers. Saw a rabbit, moose, and deer on the way in. Spent the days climbing the ridges in search of grouse. Found a few and shot one. Tried fishing but had no luck. Guess they didn't like grasshoppers. Being such a dry year there were no berries to be found, even though the plants were there. I was able to find a few rosehips and plenty of dandelions though. Each day I had to deal with afternoon thunderstorms.
