A camp was called for March 24 - 26 at the confluence of Fourmile and Sevenmile Creeks near present day Buena Vista, CO with the intention of hunting for beaver. The place is affectionately named "Brad's Hole," being a favorite spot of Bradley C Bailey. Darko arrived and setup camp late afternoon and Brad walked in the 1/2 mile at sundown followed by snow. Some time was spent around the campfire and then we headed into our bedrolls as the snow started coming down more steadily. We awoke in the morning covered with about 1" of snow. Brad went off scouting for beaver but saw only a bit of sign while the sun came out and melted away all of the snow. Darko set off in search of beaver as well. Both Brad and Darko arrived back at camp and had a midday nap in the sun, cooked up dinner, then Brad headed off again in search of fur. The clouds rolled in again in the evening and we were once again covered by a blanket of snow in the morning. When the sun came out we spread our bedrolls over the nearby bushes to dry before packing out. Though only a little bit of beaver sign was found it was a good camp with lots of Colorado weather -- we woke up frozen and by the end of the day had sunburns.
