AMM Nationals 2013, held June 30 - July 6, 2013, hosted by the Colorado Brigade and Booshway'd by Tom Karnuta. The location was at the confluence of the Little Snake River and Battle Creek. This site was typical of rendezvous sites historically, being in a cottonwood river bottom surrounded by sage covered hills. The site was also significant in that it was where a famous mountain man and Indian battle occurred in the 1840s, where Henry Fraeb was killed. Legend is also that Liver Eatin John Johnston buried the bones of his wife and child up on Battle Mountain just to the north of the site.
