Rocky Mountain Outfit — American Mountain Men (AMM) party of Colorado
The members of the RMO took to the field for the annual Spring Turkey hunting camp called by Tom Karnuta on the weekend of April 30 - May 2nd. Present were Tom Karnuta, Bradley C Bailey, Bill Gantic, Steve Chin, Scott Walker, and Tom Chalmers. It was located along the Arkansas River near Texas Creek, in a secluded area called Devils Hole. The first challenge was to get all 6 men and gear across the river using only two canoes. Then from there it was about a mile hike in to a nice shelf above the creek bottom. This year only Tom K and Bill were hunting, the rest were just camp keepers. No meat was made, but Bill did get into some birds and had a Tom run in on him and bust him at about 30 yards. Lots of deer and fresh bear sign.
