Rocky Mountain Outfit — American Mountain Men (AMM) party of Colorado
November 23-25, 2012 Bradley C Bailey, Bill Gantic, and his pup Molly and did a three day trek down the Big Dominguez canyon. It was a total of 14 miles from the west to the east. What prefect weather we had, could not have been better. Blown out one moc, made on trail repairs. Lots of fresh bear sign, alot! Beaver, bighorn sign and elk sign, no real sightings. We both used the manty set up for packing and I'll tell you it the way to go. Brads pack was lighter, so I was not going to let him go lighter that me. So I ditched a blanket, one blanket got mine down to 23 lbs. Jerky corn and rice, made for good eats. First night camp was in the creek bottom, should not have been a good place to camp but it was getting late. We lucked out the cold and damp did not settle in on us, wow. Sore calf muscles tonight but other than that great!
