Rocky Mountain Outfit — American Mountain Men (AMM) party of Colorado
May 17th - 19th 2013, Last Official Camp on the AMM Land, Western Colorado. Tasked with retrieving the Brothers Gone Under Plank and moving the medicine bags to a more remote section. Bill Gantic and his dog Molly were the only ones to make it and camped in the gully near fresh water just near the gate. Gathered the bags and climbed up into the walls of Bear Hollow which overlooks the upper meadow. Hung the bags in a large pinion pine then sat on a rock and smoked a pipe with the boys. When out of nowhere came thunder & rain for a short spell. When and loaded up the very large plank on the hand cart for the journey out. Not an easy task, for the wheels on the cart moved in every direction. Cached the cart in plank near the big gully until more help could come to load it out. Evening brought rains on & off most of the night. Moved bedroll under some brush, a rabbit hole like, for shelter.
